Good News.
I just received a telephone call from Dr. Joel Bernstein, Ann’s radiologist and co-director of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare’s (ENH’s) Breast Imaging Center. He said that the pathologist’s report showed that the biopsy taken yesterday has no cancer.
Our next step is to review this welcome result with Dr. David P. Winchester, Ann’s surgeon, and get a detailed report from him regarding a treatment plan. We will also get a second opinion from another surgeon prior to starting treatment. We do not have any appointments for these consultations at this time. We will share additional information with you as it becomes available.
In the mean time, we are glad that we have a bottle of champagne chilled for tonight’s New Year celebration.
