- No Pathology Report Today (Tuesday)
I just called Dr. Winchester’s office and was told that no pathology reports for any Friday surgeries (including Ann’s) have arrived yet. I was also told that pathology reports are issued in the morning so we definitely won’t get Ann’s...

- Home from Hospital
Ann came home from the hospital this afternoon (Sunday, 1/19/03) and seems to be regaining more of her strength and energy every minute.

- Results of Surgery
Ann made it through surgery today without complications but unfortunately early pathology reports indicate that the cancer has moved into the sentinel lymph nodes already.

- Results of Second Opinion
Our second opinion on Tuesday (1/14/03) with Dr. Monica Morrow, Director of the Lynn Sage Breast Center of Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) in Chicago resulted in a somewhat different diagnosis but Ann's lumpectomy is still scheduled for about 2:30 PM tomorrow, Friday (1/17/03), at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. The operation will include an additional procedure and will be done under general anesthetic. The prognosis remains excellent.
